How much does the Aussie-Webcam Viewer System cost?
Please contact us for a free quote. Pricing is done on a per
site basis and depends on the number of cameras, services, and
requirements of the particular site. Can the Aussie-Webcam Viewer System be co-branded?
Yes, if desired we will co-brand the ARM System interface with
the client's logo and remove all references to our
Corporation. The client's site can then link directly to the
interface. We will continue to host the system and store all
of the data but this will be transparent to the end user. By
doing this we offer the client a way to bring additional
traffic to their website and take advantage of the investment
in time and money on that website. Having useful and
interactive media such as this system on a website can
dramatically increase traffic to that site. How does it work?
The system uses an Internet connection via a standard
telephone line to transfer images and data to our network. The
interval at which the photos are transferred is typically 15
minutes but can be customized to meet the client's needs.
The required items for setting up the system are a standard
phone line and a 240v power connection (A solar version is
under development)
Do I need a computer at the site?
No, a computer is not required at the site. The system is a
turnkey solution that runs independently of any additional
hardware.
Can I watch live video with the system?
No, video requires expensive high bandwidth Internet
connections typically not available at most undeveloped sites.
Also video offers a much lower quality image than that of the
ARM System. Typical video systems are a highly compressed and
only 320x240 while our system is at 1600x1200.
There are a variety of lens options available to accommodate
any set up. Can it be used in extreme weather conditions?
Yes, this system is built for year round outdoor use.
How is the system mounted, and where should it be located?
The system should be mounted where it will have a good
perspective on the target. Common mounting places are on a
4"x4" post, on top of a building, and on top of a construction
trailer. A variety of mounting hardware is available. Can the camera at the site pan and zoom?
No, the camera takes a high resolution image that can be
viewed via the Aussie-Webcam Viewer interface. By panning and
zooming the image and not the actual camera at the site the
system eliminates the need for high speed Internet connections
and moving parts. This increases reliability while reducing
costs.
I need to password protect the images for privacy /
security reasons. Is this possible?
Yes. User IDs and passwords can be used to secure access to
the system. Can the system be moved once it is set up?
Yes, just reconnect the phone and power lines. If you are
moving the system to a different area code please call us so
that we can recondition and reprogram the system. Can the photo be included on another webpage?
Yes, call us and we will send you the information for your
particular system. How long does it take to set up the system?
Typically the system can be shipped immediately. If power and
phone lines are available onsite then it's
just a matter of mounting and aiming the system. Do you provide installation services?
Yes, we provide installation services. However, it is
typically more cost effective to have the site contractor or a
local electrician install the system.
